Eve Dodds
Our “Dave” has another infection :-(
Poor Dave, we went for a meal with friends on Saturday night and were back for 8pm as that’s what time Dave has his second lot of medication, I went down to his pen to find him spread eagled laying in saliva and urine and because of the tiled floor unable to get up as was so slippery, he looked at me meowing, I picked him up and gave him a cuddle and dried him off and gave him his medication then rang the vets, with his history they advised to give a double dose which I did and to get a urine sample. I took Dave’s sample in this morning and there was blood back in it so he has another urinary infection, he is on antibiotics again and they think it may be a side affect of the epilepsy medication he is on, he may always be prone to urinary infections π Β The vet’s are looking into to see if anything can be done to reduce this. I will keep you all in the loop. Dave is quite comfortable at the moment so think we have got to it in time π

Do you recognize this cat? Handed in y/day, looks in good body weight and well cared for, no chip, an elderly lady has been feeding on and off for approx a year but she has now had to go into a care home and didn’t want the cat fending for himself, he’s friendly enough and maybe had a few homes? Update on our “Dave” :-)
Thank god our “Dave” is now back to normal, it took him 2 weeks but he’s ok, apparently when you are epileptic and you go down with anything it affects your brain waves and his urinary infection caused his cluster of fits, god bless him we all love him so much here and are more than relieved and pleased he’s now ok π
Further Update on “Dave”
Dave went in for bloods today and I took a urine sample as well, his urine only had a slight trace of blood so much better than last week but they decided his bloods should be sent off to the lab where his 1st ones were done, I am assured we should have a result tomorrow, Dave in himself is now back to normal thank god and hope the bloods now come back normal, will keep you all in the loop
Update on Dave <3
Dave is 98% back to his normal self I am more than pleased to say π he no longer is meowing and pacing and seems quite settled, will update Thursday after his blood test, keep everything crossed, he’s such a lovely lad and we all love him to bits <3
