We have decided to reopen our doors on Saturday 23rd May but with very strict restrictions and social distancing and you must have no signs or symptoms of Covid, it is strictly as always appointment only and only 2 people are allowed at any one time (from same household) and would prefer you to wear a mask, gloves will be supplied from here on entrance. As we are in such worrying/strange times I hope you understand our guidelines and respect them. As from the 1st June 2020 we are having to put up our adoption fee from £65 to £75 due to increases in prices and this does fall in line with most rescue’s and it looks as if we can forget this year for fundraising sadly. Will update asap who we have for adoption. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Stay safe Eve & The Team
2019 was a very busy year for us as a small rescue, sadly people are still not neutering their cats or microchipping which is the best way they can be reunited with their owner, we re-homed 58 adult cats and 70 kittens and re-united only 4 cats with their owner due to being microchipped. Thank you so much for everyone’s support during 2019 🙂 Lets hope 2020 is a good one 🙂 Below some of our expenditure for 2019 which is why we rely on your support 🙂
All cats and kittens adopted from Sleapy Cat Rescue come with 5 weeks free insurance – Whatever their age! Agria pet insurance.
Please note all viewings are by appointment only ring Eve 07743 644 795

Our latest ongoing case Clarence
This is Clarence approx 8yrs old who had been living on the streets in Shawbury, a kind lady was feeding him but needed to lend a trap to catch and get him neutered, which we lent and paid for the castrate, he didn’t look like this when found he was grubby and a bit battle scarred, she let him come in her house and he settled well but he kept attacking her two cats which is why he is now with us, he’s a very affectionate cat but on vet health check his ears are full of polyps and needs both ear canals taken out, the estimate for this is £1600 per ear, we do get a discount so will be paying £1300 each ear a total of £2600 a great deal of money, we put a plea on our Facebook page and in just over 48hrs our supporters raised £2407 WOW how amazing is that. Clarence is booked in for his first operation on Tuesday 10th Dec and will have the other ear done a month later, he will be with us for quite some time due to the healing process. Eventually he will be looking for his 5* home with someone who has a cat proof garden or catio as he can not be free roaming as he will be totally deaf. Watch this space for updates
