Sleap, Wem …Proprietor Eve Dodds – 07743 644795

2017 was a strange year for Sleapy Cat Rescue, there was a period in time that we were more like a hospital than a rescue/re-homing centre as everyone we had in was either on prescription diets or medication because unwell, this did effect our homing figures but we still managed to re-home 59 Cats and 59 Kittens. Lets hope 2018 is a little kinder 🙂  We managed to re-unite 9 owners with there pets due to microchips which was great 🙂

Myself and a brilliant band of volunteers have worked in cat rescue for many years, we are completely self funding doing monthly stalls in the square at Shrewsbury and attending fete's and shows, every penny we make goes to the cats/kittens and the upkeep of the pens.

Outlook From Pens

We rescue and re-home cats in the Shrewsbury, Wem, Whitchurch and most of North Shropshire areas, if you feel you could help by making a donation don't hesitate to give us a call or use the contact page.

If you could home one of our residents then please get in touch to have a chat and arrange a visit, look forward to hearing from you.

If you have lost or found a cat you can send us details to place on our lost and found section, more information the better, photo's can help trace your lost pet.  If you can pass on any information you may have to the whereabouts of one of the lost pets it would be appreciated by the owners and us.

This is our gorgeous Dave he came into the rescue in February after

being abandoned at Bronnington in Whitchurch, he was 6mths to 1yr old,

he was soaking wet and had cat flu,

he then started having fits which is probably why he was abandoned and after many tests found blood and cyrstals in his urine, he is on medication to try and control his fits and now is on a prescription diet, Jenny and I discussed his case at great length and decided he was un-homeable so we are trying to raise money to build his own cat pen to save him taking up one of the rescue pens.

Dave is a lovely boy extremly friendly and loves a fuss, he is more like a dog than a cat, he loves the other cats in the pens next door and now goes for regular walks on a harness and lead around my garden much to the amazement of my own cats. Daves new home will be a lot bigger than his pen at the moment as it is to be his permanent home. If you would like to make a donation or make a standing order please ring me (Eve) on 07743 644 795 or (Jenny) on 07740 103 393
