Β

2017 was a strange year for Sleapy Cat Rescue, there was a period in time that we were more like a hospital than a rescue/re-homing centre as everyone we had in was either on prescription diets or medication because unwell, this did effect our homing figures but we still managed to re-home 59 Cats and 59 Kittens. Lets hope 2018 is a little kinder πŸ™‚Β  We managed to re-unite 9 owners with there pets due to microchips which was great πŸ™‚

Update on “Little Tom”

Little Tom

As you can see Tom has well settled into his new home, he has been there a couple of months now and is very happy. He has gone to a great home and owners, so pleased they adopted “Little Tom” and that we saved him from being put to sleep. Gorgeous boy πŸ™‚

Dave has a new scratch tower!!

002 003 004 005

Dave is doing very well and the weather is improving slightly so he is enjoying his walks around the garden on his harness and lead. Β We thought we would treat Dave to a new Scratch Tower as he has always had 2nd hand ones, he’s such a lovely boy and he loves it, the swinging ball he broke off the 1st night!! But looked like he enjoyed himself. Β He also had a flying visit to the vets to get his nails cut as they were catching in his bedding, so laid back he just laid there and let the vet nurse clip away πŸ™‚

Update on “Dave”

Dave is doing really well on his prescription food and I took a urine sample in to check and all was fine apart from a faint trace of blood but they don’t know why. He is well in himself although he did have another fit last Thursday morning but it didn’t last long. He will still have the occasional fit but hopefully no more clusters of fits like he had in August 2015 We all love our special boy “Dave” he’s an absolute star πŸ™‚

Update on Little Tom

IMG_5963 IMG_5962

Little Tom wen’t back to the vets on Friday and fantastic news, not only have we been able to save his tail but his leg as well πŸ™‚ so we had his 1st vaccine done and got him microchipped and now he is up for adoption. It’s been a long haul but so worth it. Don’t think he will be with us long now as such a sweetie πŸ™‚

Further update on “Little Tom”

IMG_5928 IMG_5926 IMG_5927

Little Tom has been in his outside pen for a couple of weeks to try and build some muscle mass up, he seems to be doing quite well πŸ™‚ he is sort of using his poorly leg but not fully weight bearing. Β He goes for re-assessment in the new year, lets hope he doesn’t have to lose that leg! His tail is quite safe though and the pelvis has healed πŸ™‚
