Sleap, Wem …Proprietor Eve Dodds – 07743 644795

WE WILL BE CLOSED FROM DECEMBER 14TH UNTIL 2ND JANUARY, WE WILL NOT BE TAKING IN OR RE-HOMING DURING THIS TIME, PLEASE CONTACT US ON 2ND JANUARY IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ONE OF OUR GUESTS, HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY HEALTHY NEW YEAR 🙂

2017 was a strange year for Sleapy Cat Rescue, there was a period in time that we were more like a hospital than a rescue/re-homing centre as everyone we had in was either on prescription diets or medication because unwell, this did effect our homing figures but we still managed to re-home 59 Cats and 59 Kittens. Lets hope 2018 is a little kinder 🙂  We managed to re-unite 9 owners with there pets due to microchips which was great 🙂

Minnie’s condition is getting harder to get under control, she has been on antibiotics which she is still on plus her steroids and still she has drippy diarrhea, we have taken her off the gastrointestinal diet and put her on Hills prescription dd diet, she ate that for a couple of day’s then stopped eating and started to be sick, she was in our vets Bridgefield Veterinary Surgery Wem for 7 days on a drip. She wen’t back to the vets on Monday had a antibiotic jab a vit B12 jab and a wormer, we also now have got her on Hills Prescription zd wet and dry, yesterday she seemed so much better but today she is back to dripping everywhere 🙁 She has to go back to the vets again Monday, so watch this space and pray for this sweet girl <3

A couple moved here 2mths ago and this cat has never left their garden, very scared and may have been missing some time as the collar is extremely tight, it is an entire male (not neutered) I have lent the couple a trap so he can be neutered and to get that collar off. IMG_0492IMG_0546 IMG_0548

Dave and Hobo have been living together in harmony for well over a month now, they get on famously, Hobo loves the heated igloo bed as you can see and Dave at the moment prefers his plush mat! although he too has a heated igloo, they both like their water fountain and Dave still likes to play with the water 🙂 A match made in heaven, just love these boys.

Nellie our latest ongoing case UPDATE now homed :-)

IMG_0501 IMG_0502 IMG_0503

This is our latest ongoing case “Nellie” such an affectionate girl, she got run over by a tractor in Edstaston and was handed in to our vets, she had a fractured pelvis and had to have it operated on, no owner came forward so she is with us until better and can be re-homed, strict cage rest for this girl bless her, she adores her food (felix as good as it looks) little piglet 🙂 UPDATE: Nelly is now in her forever home bless her

Update on Dave

IMG_0492 IMG_0493 IMG_0494 IMG_0495

Dave has a new friend, Hobo, we moved Hobo in with Dave as we were desperate for pen space, we tried them a couple of times before the permanent move and they get on really well. Hobo will end his days with us as he has Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Only problem is Dave likes Hobo’s dry more than his own haha. They now have a water fountain as well to encourage Dave to drink more and he loves it!

Hugo Missing since 22nd June

Hugo1Hugo

Hugo went missing from Hampton Drive Market Drayton, he is a small male of 3yrs with a small tuft of white on his chest, he is microchipped but does not wear a collar, any information at all please contact the owner Sarah on 07916 347185

Found Fothergill Way Wem

Fothergill

Large entire male. used to people and friendly although wary. The people that are feeding him used to see him occasionally in the area two years ago but became a regular visitor about a year ago. They have tried a paper collar to trace an owner but he has come back without it so he’s probably lost it as they have had no phone call. He does have a few battle scars but that is due to him being un-neutered but am told he is not an aggressive cat. Is this your cat? Do you know the owner? Any information at all please ring the finder on 07790 433 811 or
