UPDATE: SADLY AS A PRECAUTION WE ARE CLOSED AT THE MOMENT DUE TO COVID-19 NO CATS ARE BEING RE-HOMED AND WE CANNOT TAKE ANY IN AT THE MOMENT. WE ARE VERY SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE HOPEFULLY IT WILL NOT BE FOR LONG 🙁

2019 was a very busy year for us as a small rescue, sadly people are still not neutering their cats or microchipping which is the best way they can be reunited with their owner, we re-homed 58 adult cats and 70 kittens and re-united only 4 cats with their owner due to being microchipped. Thank you so much for everyone’s support during 2019 🙂 Lets hope 2020 is a good one 🙂  Below some of our expenditure for 2019 which is why we rely on your support 🙂

All cats and kittens adopted from Sleapy Cat Rescue come with 5 weeks free insurance – Whatever their age! Agria pet insurance.

Update on Fifi 13/2/14

Fifi has put on a little weight, last week she was 1.84kg this week after being on a prescription high fat diet she weighs 1.96kg so we decided to shave her rock hard fur off but our vet noticed she has a funny smell about her (which she has always had) so looked in her mouth and part of her tongue is rotting away, the vet thinks the part that is rotting will eventually fall off hopefully leaving enough for her to eat and lap, so she has been left at the vets today and tomorrow will be sedated and a thorough examination and if viable then we will continue to shave her fur and continue with her high fat diet, will update more as and when things happen

Update on Fifi

Update on Fifi, she went back to the vets last Thursday and lost more weight which I thought strange because she had been eating (mushy food) quite well although still badly drooling, she now weighs 1.84kg which is less than a kitten before neutering! We are having a last ditch attempt for her to put weight on so we have her on Royal Canin Convalescence Support and Complivit which are high in fat and liquid so easy for her to swallow, I will be taking her back next Thursday for weighing and a re examine. Her fur is still very stiff so Anna one of our vets treated Fifi to a special foam bath which softens and moisturizes the skin, it does help a bit and am doing it twice daily in between her 4/5 meals a day which she has little and often. Lets pray she puts some weight on, next update Thursday 13th Feb lets hope its a lucky No for her
